Eco Kettle
Do you boil only sufficient drinking water for your cup of coffee or tea or are you the person who can’t resist
keeping the Eco kettle filled towards the top? The Eco Kettle
caters to everyone. Eco Kettle functions using a central reservoir that you simply can keep filled to the
brim and a central valve button within the lid that releases only the amount you'll need into its boiling chamber,
from one to eight cups - saving electrical power, time and even water.
It's estimated that most of us use twice as much drinking water as we need when we boil the kettle - that's
twice as significantly energy and twice as significantly time.
Underscoring the importance of saving energy and using water efficiently, the UK's Department of Surroundings,
Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) stated "If everybody boiled only the drinking water they needed to create a cup of
tea instead of 'filling' the kettle every time, we could conserve enough electricity to run practically all the
street lighting in the U.K."
Eco Kettle

Independent consumer trials directed by the Power Saving Trust, showed that the Eco Kettle utilized over 30% less energy than standard kettles.
Other features from the 3kW, 1.5-liter capacity Eco Kettle include
steam control and boil-dry protection, a washable lime scale filter, plus a locking lid and 12 month warranty.
It won't solve the problem of your housemate or colleague suddenly deciding they'd like a cup of tea too, thank
you, when you've already set it to boil, but saving the world isn't usually easy.

Should you enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee, but you want to save electrical power then look no further than a
new eco kettle. The term eco kettle covers a wide range of items, which heat drinking water efficiently, only heat
the quantity of water that you'll need, and keep boiled drinking water hot for longer.
Why Use an Eco Kettle? The average standard kettle within the UK is
utilized to boil drinking water seven times per day with the regular Brit getting through 4.3 cups of tea per day.
There are three simple ways a regular kettle could be made a lot more environmentally friendly:
1) Producing it easier to view the level of water within the kettle. If you need to boil enough water for two
cups of tea, then the kettle can have markings on it so you are able to confirm that there are two cups of water in
it. Should you only boil as much drinking water as you need then you are able to conserve a lot of electricity.
According to the Department for Environment, Transport and also the Regions (DETR) a family could run a TV set for
26 hours or light a house for a day on the electricity wasted by boiling more drinking water than they need for 1
week. The Department of Surroundings, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have calculated that if everyone within the
UK only boiled the water they need rather than filling the kettle the UK would save 1.27 Billion kWh of electricity
(and hundreds of millions of pounds).
2) Keep drinking water hot for longer. If you boil too significantly drinking water then having a well-insulated
kettle will mean less power will be required later on when you'll need a lot more hot drinking water.
3) Fitting a temperature gauge. Should you knew that the drinking water inside the kettle was still hot
sufficient to make your drink, you would not re-boil the kettle wasting electrical power.
There are now a range of environmentally friendly Eco kettles on the market which have 1, two
or all of these energy efficiency functions, and even though they are a bit more costly to purchase starting at
least £30, over the typical five-year life from the kettle it will more than pay for itself in saved power.
